How does EasyLid® work
SEALPAC’s unique EasyLid® packaging system, developed in close cooperation with Naber Plastics, provides a hermetic seal and full lid function in just one sealing process. As such, SEALPAC not only creates the optimal requirements for consumer-friendly packaging, but also takes on responsibility in terms of sustainability. Furthermore, highest efficiency in the packaging process is demonstrated.
Innovative technology
The EasyLid® solution combines an injection-moulded PP tray (produced by Naber Plastics) with a unique tray-sealing technology by SEALPAC. The tray has a common sealing edge, as well as an additional ring. A peelable seal is applied to the regular sealing edge, whereas the additional ring is hermetically sealed in the same process. As such, the lid function is activated. The revolutionary EasyLid® pack, suitable for hot filling and modified atmosphere packaging, brings opportunities to various market segments – from antipasti, meat spreads, delicacies, salads and snacks, up to confectionery and many other products.

Is it suitable for MAP or vacuum packaging?
The EasyLid® packaging system is suitable for modified atmosphere packaging and sealing only, not for vacuum packaging.

Does it impact seal integrity or shelf life?
As the EasyLid® concept is suitable for modified atmosphere packaging, it achieves the same shelf-life dates as traditional trays. Furthermore, owing to their consistent sealing process, SEALPAC traysealers always guarantee highest seal integrity and maximum shelf life.

Can it be combined with reseal options?
The EasyLid® tray has a common sealing edge, as well as an additional ring. A peelable seal is applied to the regular sealing edge, whereas the additional ring is hermetically sealed in the same process. As such, the lid function is automatically activated when opening the tray. Therefore, reseal options are not necessary.

What materials are compatible with this system?
The EasyLid® solution combines an injection-moulded PP tray or thermoformed PET tray (patented and produced by Naber Plastics) with a unique tray-sealing technology by SEALPAC. It requires a matching top film.
