Next to offering sustainable packaging machines and resource-saving packaging solutions to our customers, which still help reduce food waste (find out more here), we look critically at our own behaviour. This is why we have instated a number of sustainability measures within the company.
What we do as a company
- We generate our own electricity by means of solar panels on our building
- In addition, we only buy green energy (with a certificate of our supplier Audax Renewables to prove it)
- We drive hybrid plug-in cars that can be charged at the office and at our factories
- Due to excellent insulation, our office is classified as energy label B
- We only use sustainable LED lighting in our building
But there is more…
- We encourage carpooling when driving to our factories
- We offer our employees financial compensation for coming to work on a bicycle
- We allow our employees to work from home, avoiding unnecessary work travel
- We work as paperless as possible and encourage others not to print our emails
Also in our factories
- At the factories, we recycle all aluminium and stainless steel used to manufacture our packaging machines
- We recycle all the plastic waste coming from research & development, machine demonstrations, and Factory Acceptance Tests
- We produce our machine parts in house, to avoid unnecessary transportation
- We recycle the cooling water used on our milling machines
Helping others save the environment
Last but not least, we support an annually changing charity that is committed to a more sustainable world, such as reducing plastic or food waste. Not only do we contribute financially, we also physically support the project with our entire team, for example by collecting waste from local rivers or along the roadside.
